The MSS base in Stockholm is situated in Saltsjö-Duvnäs, 12 km from the Stockholm city centre. Stockholm offers the visitor a great variety of services, attractions and experiences. Stockholm can be easily reached from all major cities in Europe thanks to many airline companies that operate the routes. The Stockholm archipelago presents idyllic small villages, picturesque villas and restaurants, well-equipped guest harbours as well as quiet and peaceful islands and natural harbours.

The base can be arrived at by taxi or by local train from the city centre. The closest airports are Stockholm Arlanda airport and Skavsta airport in Nyköping. Arlanda airport is located about 50 km north of Stockholm, Skavsta airport in Nyköping about 110 km south of Stockholm. MSS arranges transfer from and to the base and assist with bus timetables, etc. if so needed and wished.

The marina is small and sheltered, and it provides with facilities such as toilets, fresh water, shore power and a restaurant. The closest fuel station is found in Skurusundet, about 15 min from the base. The closest grocery shops, banks, ATM, etc. are found in Nacka, about 3 km from the base. Here you can also find hotels, restaurants, cafés and other services.
